There is no potential for multiple sparks. You only get one spark at a time.
More electrodes mean more of a chance of a spark. The electrode that fires
is the one with the smallest resistance at the gap. What makes the three
electrode
plugs work in a 20V engine is the flame pattern form the spark. It's pointed
at the top of the piston with shadow from the electrodes.
