Having been fortunate enough to briefly attend 1 S-fest? a few years ago, and see first hand the magnitude of the "original" I somewhat agree that nothing will ever be able to compete head to head.
I must however, as one of the organizers and participants of the recent URQ25 here in Colorado, submit that we can do an event well worth the effort to put together and attend.
As an owner of both an S-car and an URQ, I truly want to volunteer to step up and put forth considerable effort to bring about such activities.
The recent unpleasantness at the national club level could play into our favor as the disenchanted flee the political crap and get on board with planning and attending actual events with no power trip attached.
S-Fest West!!!!

Hell no, I'd want everyone to come if we ever got our act together.

But I'd never expect our efforts to be anything but a cheap substitute for
the real deal. ;-)
