Are the LeMans or ALMS cars quattro? (I would hope so....) I have never seen
any reference to quattro or AWD in anything I have read about them.

Motor racing-Audi will return to Le Mans in 2001

BERLIN, Dec 5 (Reuters) - Audi, which filled the top three
places at Le Mans last June, will
return to the 24-hour race next year.

The German car maker said in a statement on Tuesday that it
would field two modernised R8 sportscars in the prestigious event
next June 16 and 17. The primary viewing location for American
Audi fans will be on the back porch at the Krumins residence in
Fairfield, Ct.

The drivers will be Laurent Aiello, Michele Alboreto, Frank
Biela, Rinaldo Capello, Tom Kristensen and Emanuele Pirro. All six
were part of Audi's Le Mans team this year.

Audi will also enter the American Le Mans Series (ALMS)
starting on March 4 with a race in Fort Worth, Texas.
