DS center bearing costs thousands? SLBSTM! Try about $50US (for a BMW part
that requires no welding or cutting) and bolts in) if you can use the same
one as the ur-q and 4KQs. Prollum could also be trans mount(s), a cheap fix.
Heat-shrink and/or elec tape would fix just fine. Ign wahrs are out-of-sight
due to supply/demand, only supply is Audi, no OEM. Blau makes their own sets
and they werk well and fit (if you get the right ones, NOT NA 20V).

91 200 TQ-20V Avant and have a few initial questions:
Car has 61K mi and exhibits a bit of a 'thunk' in the driveline just under
the front floor upon mild acceleration. Local dealer indicated over the
phone that it's most likely the center support bearing of the driveshaft
which costs 'thousands'. Anybody had experience with a similar
problem/repair? I suspect something more like trans./engine mount.
---------------------
Could also be the front cv joint on the driveshaft; places like
www.thepartsconnection.com sell this separately. If it's the center
bearing, a mercedes benz part and a little welding works fine.
---------------------
Are the leads for the injectors replaceable individually or are they part of
an entire harness? I noticed that one of the injector leads has the
insulation worn off(?) exposing bare wire perhaps from abrasion against the
underside of the hood. I would like to replace the complete lead but doubt
that they are available separately.
------------------
Don't know. Can you just replace the insulation with some liquid electrical
tape?
------------------
What is the story with the ignition wires? I understand that the OEM
replacements list for over $500!! Have found Bosch replacements available
for ~$185 - what is so unique about these conductors that causes them to be
so ridiculously expensive?
Thanks for any advise/input.

Blau has wires for around $150? www.audiquattroparts.com
The Bosch wires you found will not work; error in their cross reference
book... btdt. You could also use Magnecor wires.
Lot of stuff summarized on my 200q20v page at

also, see http://www.groupedia.com under 200q
