DS center bearing costs thousands? SLBSTM! Try about $50US (for a BMW part
that requires no welding or cutting) and bolts in) if you can use the same
one as the ur-q and 4KQs. Prollum could also be trans mount(s), a cheap fix.
Heat-shrink and/or elec tape would fix just fine. Ign wahrs are out-of-sight
due to supply/demand, only supply is Audi, no OEM. Blau makes their own sets
and they werk well and fit (if you get the right ones, NOT NA 20V).

Are the leads for the injectors replaceable individually or are they part of
an entire harness?  I noticed that one of the injector leads has the
insulation worn off(?) exposing bare wire perhaps from abrasion against the
underside of the hood.  I would like to replace the complete lead but doubt
that they are available separately.

Don't know.  Can you just replace the insulation with some liquid electrical
tape?

What is the story with the ignition wires?  I understand that the OEM
replacements list for over $500!!  Have found Bosch replacements available
for ~$185 - what is so unique about these conductors that causes them to be
so ridiculously expensive?

The Bosch wires you found will not work; error in their cross reference
book... btdt.  You could also use Magnecor wires.
