I think there are differences in GL4 and GL5 that are there because of 
differing applications rather than because of one being a better lubricant 
than the other.  I believe one is best used in the tranny and the other in 
the diffs.  I don't think either should be used in both locations, if my 
memory of postings regarding this issue is correct.  I just don't know 
which is which and why (although I think it has something to do with 
protecting the syncros in the tranny).
