Neil, I second your thoughts on trans lube, and add why change it ever short
of a major failure?  IMO, the conventional wisdom is that if it costs more,
it must be better.  More of that warm, fuzzy feeling.

I'm curious as to why you took it apart.  Noisy bearing?
