Hmmm...how about a specials web page, modifiable only by those vendors who
have requested and been given permission, and passwords, so they can post,
using a specific format (text only, maximum length of XX lines) with a link
to their specials page? That way, we could limit it to those vendors we
trust (Parts connection, Intended Acceleration, SJM Auto-Technik, VM
Autohaus, etc.) Just an idea.

Too bad we can't make an exception for Rod at TPC and let him advertise
relevant specials to these lists..... would be an invaluable service to
us...

Glen: What I've done in the past, is send a notice to relevant lists when I
see something especially well priced.
This will work, until we get too many of these posts from too many venders.
At that point I'd like to have a monthly "specials" mailing list available.
I expect most people won't sub to that list, but will use the web interface
to browse, etc. If we do such a list, I'd like to limit each vender's post
to once per 2 weeks or similar...
BTW, www.thepartsconnection.com/specials.htm is the page weekly specials are
listed; right now it's plugs (not dp), turbo cooling pump, urq upper strut
bearings, urq ball joints, etc.
I've used Rod a lot myself, and always satisfied. However, I've seen more
venders with great pricing of late, a trend I hope continues as Audis become
more popular...
