I just went out to go run some errands at lunch. The engine turns over,
but nothing. Doesn't even catch, or sound like it is trying to start.
Checked all fuses (that I could think of), has gas, checked for vapor
lock, nope.

How do you check for vapor lock? Usually not an issue.
So, the engine turns over fine. Compression sounds fine?
You have fuel in the fuel tank?
Check the two fuses along the rail (mine have an orange cover saying "motoren" or similar), and the fuel pump fuse (#13?). Might want to pull/replace the fuel pump relay, too, and see if it looks corroded.
Get a friend to crank over the engine while you listen for the fuel pump. It should start running after a second or so of cranking.
Pull codes, if any (should get the 2111 code, engine not running so RPM sensor fault).
You can check for a spark, too, then if there is one, pull a plug, and see if you're getting fuel to the cylinders.
If no fuel, perhaps the dist. is bad, or the hall sensor in the dist is bad, or one of the rpm or position sensors is bad. Codes first.
