Also make sure you have the capacitor installed on the alternator. Many
replacements do not come with it and it may have been discarded with the
original alt if it was replaced.

Perhaps using a common ground for the radio and amps would help; also, make
sure you are not running the power or speaker wires near the battery to
alternator wire along the passenger's outside floor.
