Since the radio issue has come up.......  I recently
installed a new Sony head unit which resulted in a hiss from
the rear speakers whenever the radio is turned on.
Crutchfield tells me it is the result of a conflict between
the mosfet chip in the head unit and the rear amp. I am now
facing a direct hardwire job between the head unit and the
rear speakers. Any words of wisdom re bypassing the rear
amp????????
