Ya, that's the size that was on the car on purchase, not only that but the lowest speed rating is I think S, in the neighbohood of 110MPH.  Probably put those tires on because the 215 is so hard to find.  I guess the off size would probably also explain the uneven wear,  more in the middle than the edge of the tires, and that with speced inflation.

Wow, I guess that was the fix!  re: your 205/60R15s - the stock size is
215/60R15.  Was that a type or are you using those narrower tires (must be
hard to fit those on a 7.5" rim)?
