I suppose you could use cocobolo (sp?) like my "phil rose original" custom 
shift knob, as it's a pretty good match for the zebrano; however, since it's 
inside the door on the other side of the plastic (thus exposed to weather), 
I'd suggest teak or cyprus or even cedar.  Or PT?
Suppose you could just use a coarse-thread galvanized (or stainless) decking 
screw and a washer, and just screw through the outer door panel.  Might want 
to put some duct tape or a dab of silicon caulk over the exposed tip of the 
screw... wait, silicon is not good, it will destroy the O2 sensor, correct? 
hmmm
