Hmm, it's not such a contentious question, in my opinion.

With the oem rims Richard says he wants to use (BTW, I assume he *meant* to
say 7.5X15), there is little reason to drop _below_ our "original" tire
size, although some people are happy running the older-spec of 205/60x15.

However, since Richard indicates he wants a "summer tire", it might be that
he also wants high-performance. In that case he could have some trouble
locating desirable rubber in the 215 (or 205)/60x15 size. My choice was to
take advantage of the fact it's possible to mount 225/60x15 tires on the
oem rims, and I found a nice Z-rated tire that I like. Speedo and odo
errors are within about 2%. Front wheel clearance with 225/60 is OK and
it's also good in the rear except for the possible need to straighten out a
slight bit of a bump that some of our cars may have in one area on the edge
of the plastic fender-liner. The 225/60x15 is mucho rubber, and Brett may
give you a hard time about your bulbous appearance, but he's just jealous.
:-)

P.S. If you really did mean 7x15 wheels, then I think you need to stay with
the smaller tire widths.
