You may have over-heated the multi-function switch and damaged it.

As far as orange coolant goes, I've been running it in my car since March
without a problem.

75 miles from home last night the upper radiator hose on my
91 200TQ split. Walgreens supplied hose tape and snap ties
for a fix which got me home on 2 gallons of water. This
morning I replaced the hose and everything is hunky-dorky.

Riddle????    Why does the cooling water icon now beep and
flash constantly??
