I recall someone has suggested quieting such squeaks by applying a piece
(or two) of adhesive-backed Velcro--the fuzzy part only, of course. I
imagine that stuff could be quite unobtrusive on black leather.  I don't
know if a color-matched Velcro is available for  platinum or tan leather.
Probably can't see the spot anyway.
