Great going, Phil!
You shouldn't need any thread/rubber bands/vaseline, etc., because you'll
have O-rings inserted into a groove in the banjo fitting on the hose. Now,
if the O-rings don't want to stay in the groove, a little vaseline will
"glue" them in place.
