Well, 
* totally different injection system (CIS versus Motronic electrically 
activated injectors);
* centrally located spark plug surrounded by 4 valves, versus side plug;
* higher static compression;
* higher stock boost levels;
etc.
And, the 20vt calls for an entirely different spark plug.
