Agreed. I think some of the lines on our Audis should be considered wear items, and Audi shouldn't have to foot the bill after some 10 years.  Items like:
-brake lines (flex or solid)
-clutch hydraulic flex line
-fuel lines (flex or solid)
-oil cooler lines
You didn't expect Audi to replace your radiator hoses or crankcase breather hose, right?
Prudence says to periodically inspect these things, and change them if they appear to be failing (seeping fluids, swollen, corroded, etc.).  I tend to listen to Prudence.
