IME with regard to the after run coolant pump, it depends if your car has an
80 degree or 87 thermostat. In my S4 with the 80, the pump and fan would
never run. With the 87, in the Summer in runs after after most shutdowns,
but in Winter, I never hear it. As far as I can figure out, the after run
coolant pump and fan kick in at about 105 F... HTH
