One simple solution I've seen is to simply open up the leading edge of the 
factory ducts with a small spacer.  The factory ducts typically get smashed 
into a flatter rectangle after losing encounters with curbs, snow banks, 
and the like.  I haven't tried this yet, but another 200q20v owner around 
here fashioned simple spacers and reports good (improved) results.
