Phil,
It was playing, just at really low volumes, so low infact that bleedover
from the radio station broadcasting at 88.5 to 88.7 (the frequency the
modulator was orginally set at) was louder than the signal coming out of the
modulator.
I didn't touch on your 5-miunute comment in my last post, but after
swithching the modulator to 88.3, I listened to the stereo for about ten
minutes to see if the CD sound dropped out; in that period of time it
didn't. We'll see what happens today as I spend some more time in the car.
Hopefully we're cured.

Hmm. That's good and also interesting. Sounds like merely a dirty
switch on the modulator frequency selector? That's something easy
enough for even me to try, but somehow I'd be more optimistic if my
CD wasn't able to play at all (like yours).
