Actually that's the same exact formula mentioned earlier, it just has
converted cubic feet to cubic inches by multiplying by 1728.

Back in the '70's, when I was building an occasional V-8, you could come
very close to sizing a carb by using Cu.In. X top rpm over 3456.

example:

327 x 6000 rpm /3456 = about 567 cfm needed so a Holley 600 would work fine.
