[200q20v] recall

Call it a case of too little, too late for me.

After blowing some hard earned cash to repair a diode in the amp, my stereo
is toast. Hasn't been able to be turned on in two weeks, so it looks like
it's time to go aftermarket. I wouldn't, but I am scared of what Audi would
charge to replace my head unit, and since I was having problems with my
speakers to begin with, and Audi is being so slow to correct that problem,
I'll just say to hell with them.

Question 1-
Can the amp in the trunk still be used?
Question 2-
Is the Bose speaker/amp combo a problem when replacing them with aftermarket
equipment?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated, I miss audio in my car!
