Have you tested the alternator output AT THE BATTERY? There is a known
problem with the wiring between the alternator and the battery. Check on
Chris Miller's website http://members.aol.com/c1j1miller/index.html for
electrical repairs and see the battery-to-alternator cable splice repair
write-up.
