Ingo,
Did you try cleaning out the threads with a tap first? That's worked for me
in the past, after ahem, um, my wheel falling off (old car not the 200). Oh
wait, the tap was used after we decided to remove the lug studs and go back
to lug bolts.
It's been my experience that whenever the hub is pulled, out comes the
outside, bearing race, and as such bearing replacement is a good idea.
Bernie may have other solutions (ie repacking bearings), but that's my
input.

Subject: [200q20v] Front wheel hub replacement
Can the front hub be pulled off without damaging the wheel bearing? Not my
car. Someone messed up one of the threads on a hub on my mothers 100 and
I'd like to replace it. suggestions welcome.
