I think the Cone filter makes your car faster in the winter, slower in the
summer (more heat soak).  So it's all about the tradeoff - if you're an
Alaska lister, it should suit you well, but otherwise you'll lose some
seat of the pants in the summer when it's hot out.  I noticed an
improvement, having installed the cone in the middle of the winter, and
then a slight decrease in the summer.  But the sound was cool...

ps - another tale, my CQ w/Scorpion & w/Cone was slower than my friend's
CQ with cone only (stock exhaust) & I had the added benefit of sounding
like a fart-mobile (that's a little harsh but it was my car).  It would've
been interesting to see stock panel vs. cone.
