>>> Does anybody have any experience with mounting the 5-spoke S car wheels onto a 200q20v?
Bolt right up, but I did it over G60, and later BIRA System 1, brakes. No experience with UFOs.
>>> other question I have is the person I'll be purchasing the wheels from reports that on his previous install, an 87' 5000tq, he had clearance problems with the inside of the wheel and the arm that the steering tie rod attaches to the strut body; any experience here?
Shouldn't be an issue *IF* you still have UFOs or were converted to S4/S6 brakes. The UFO, S4, and S6 cars have ½ inch wider track PER SIDE than the 5000, 100, 200, and A6.
>>> Also, anybody have any suggestions for reliable, inexpensive shipping of the wheels, so far we've come up with Greyhound as a potential source, to the tune of $90 for the set of 4 with tires. Any other suggestions?
No suggestions, but $90 for a set of four wheels and tires is pretty good.
