[200q20v] Hard starting, poor mileage, and running rich...

I have the same hard start followed by the smell of
gas, but not the bad mileage.

Try this: run the car for a bit, then let it sit for
1/2 hour or so. Pull the plugs and see if you can
see/smell gas in the top of the cylinders. This should
tell you if an injector(s) are leaking.
