[200q20v] Are my control arm bushings bad???

Hi all
I just bought a 89 200 tq and I'm wondering if the control arm bushings are
good. The car has new shocks and ATE rotors... the problem its the front end
shimmies when braking from 50-60 mph. I 'm thinking this could this could
either be the rotors are warped (ATE Slotted) or the control arms are junk
How do I tell if the bushings are good ???? Car has 180k on it and seems to
be pretty well maintained. Any help is appreciated.
