New/used car coming

The wife is getting herself a '98 A4 2.8 Avant so old reliable goes up for
sale.  This car never fails to start and has been super this winter.  Low
power and quattro are a great combo.

1987 5000S quattro.  102K miles. Burgundy with grey cloth interior. 
Kenwwod in-dash CD/radio, 1999 Passat alloys with Conti-touring tires. 
Recent pads and rotors, e-brake cables, clutch master, AC comp. etc.  The
car had a t-belt and water pump and rack done when we got it 3 years 35k
miles ago.  The cat has been replaced.  Other typical type 44 repairs
(lifters, heater control valve, belts etc)  have been done.   The car
should breeze through inspection.  Asking $3000
