The family album says the S4/S6 and 200TQ use
an 87 deg thermostat, part no. 069 121 113.
Perhaps the Bentley means that the main valve on
thermostat opens at 87 deg, and the bypass valve
disk at the back of the stat closes against the
block at 102 deg.
