[200q20v] door locks

Hi all & list...I have developed a related problem with my 91 200q20v avant
driver's door.  Replaced the lock cylinder this fall and now am having an
increasingly reluctant door handle.  Looks like it is not fully engaged at the
leading edge.  If I pull the handle up with pressure only on the trailing edge,
this usually will open the door but not always.  When it doesn't release, a little
knee-nudge on the rubber moulding will do the trick.  Is this something that will
require (shudder) re-disassembly of the door?  I'm in frostbitten Western Mass and
have no (shudder, shudder) heated garage.  Regards, Tom
