[200q20v] some list related stuff

Well, first off, congrats to Chris&Peg Miller for the new addition to
the family(we'll forgive him for the minimal Audi content -this time-
:-)
I hope we have everybody back by now after the disastrous server
crash many months ago; I'm glad to see the 200q20v list is still
going strong almost three years(yup, three!) after Rob Winchell
originally asked me to host the list; a few months later, I had a
200q20v in my driveway.
I should thank Chris Miller for doing a great job of handling the
list admin functions while I took a breather to focus on work and
personal stuff(not to mention, continuing to impress us with his
knowledge of our cars which he so willingly shares), and Dan for
hosting the list.
I've stepped back in the driver's seat of this crazy number, so if
you have list questions, please forward them to me. I'm hoping to
expand the 200q20v-specific content on the website(which contains
barely more than 2 html files); better links, a user maintained FAQ*,
and more.
I encourage you to check out the resources that are available to all
Audifans lists and the general public; there's the
registry(http://www.audifans.com/registry/) and the
marketplace(http://www.audifans.com/marketplace/); both are the hard
work of Mark Chang and are excellent additions to the site.
I noticed a rather small number of entries; almost 118 of all models,
but only a very small collection of 200q20v's, one of which was mine
:-)
One policy question; after the move, and I think this was purely
accidental, [200q20v] appeared in the subject line.
I personally find it annoying as do many others; clutters up the
subject field in my mail program and isn't useful at all for
filtering(you can filter off the List-Id: header; this is the best
method I've found by far if your mailer supports it.)
If you actually need this header(ie, your mailer can't filter any
other way, or you strongly prefer it) please let me know in the next
day or two...otherwise...
Brett
*volunteers more than welcome! Also, I'm open to hosting lister's
sites if they wish to move under the realm of www.200q20v.com and
integrate their content with others; I may also offer email addresses
under 200q20v.com. Let me know if you're interested in helping or
contributing content...
