Chris,

Just remove the carpeted kick panel on the tranmission tunnel, on the
offending side of the vehicle. At that point you can access the nut/bolt
that secures the plastic tab that comes off the shift boot.

Subject: [200q20v] shifter boot

All,

Since I got the 200q20v back, I've noticed that somehow the shifter boot
and square mounting part got pulled up. I can realign it and get it to
sort of line up and snap in, but only one side of the boot (the right
side) seems to say attached and the left side just lays down and then
gets pulled up later after a few shifts. What's the proper way to make
the boot stay on?
