I replaced the right rear seal at about 90 k mi. I don't remember all the
details, but it wasn't hard. I used the Bentley, but it had some extra steps
(as usual) that weren't needed. I think it said to remove some control arm
or something like that, which wasn't necessary. The clearance is a little
tight, but just move the halfshaft out of the way. Note how far the seal is
in before you pull it out. There is no lip to prevent it from being pushed
to far in. I took the old seal, trimmed off the soft rubber edge, and used
that to push the new seal in. Once the old seal was flush with the machined
edge, I stopped. Been leak free for 50 k mi. HTH
