As far as I recall (from production figures cited in the FA), there 
were not actually a vast number more of the 200q20V manufactured 
(beyond what came to USA); the generally accepted US import 
figures--which you gave--appear to be a considerable fraction of the 
total production. In other words, this was not one of Audi's 
higher-volume models of which we saw only a tiny share. Of course I 
guess you could say that Audi has never had the pleasure of producing 
a truly high-volume model.
