Fred,

Had the same experience trying to get the HD's for my car through them.  
Finally gave up after them having my money and no delivery for 3 months or 
so.  Went through a company in Atlanta called Top Notch Auto Accessories ( 
www.topnotchauto.com ).

They gave the same backorder from Bilstein spiel I'd gotten from shox.com, 
but unlike shox, delivered as promised within a week.  Prices were comprable 
as well.

Found their name last December surfing the V8 list at audifans.  They had 
recently done a group purchase, so I was able to still get the group 
purchase price, even though I'd come in several months after fact.
