[200q20v] pop goes the dipstick

So, I did an accidental repeat performance of Brandon's Missing Dipstick.
While pressure testing the intake system for leaks(1 cup rubbermaid
container, drilled and with a compressor fitting), the dipstick popped up
about 2 feet at 1.1 bar indicated on the computer...kind of amusing.
After chasing down a leak up at the ISV, and one at the michellin-man
hose(both due to slightly loose clamps), I heard what I dreaded...a
"pssssss!" coming from the bottom driver's side of the intercooler.
Great.
So I've got the grille off, top hex bolt off, all hose clamps loose or
off, and I can't get the damn thing to budge. I remember you have to get
the driver's side out somehow, and that the passenger side is sort of
hooked in.
Looks like the only way will be to loosen the metal pipe that carries
charge air to the IC. I don't, however, remember doing this the last time
I took my IC out, and I don't remember it being this much of a PITA :-)
Help? If it gets too late, I'm going to let Shine Racing play with it,
but I have no idea if they'll have the time or be able to track down a
@#$! o-ring to replace the one in there that's probably shot.
Thanks!
Brett
