Chris,
I must concur with Greg Amy about the H&R springs not lowering the car very
much. I did not get an exact lowing measurement since I also changed wheels
and tire sizes to fit the BIRA brakes. I believe that the reason the car
didn't get much lower was due to the fact that it had become lower with the
stock springs due to the miles and age of the car. I did however make a .50
high spacer for the rear spring perch as per suggestions from other on the
list which I think is a good idea.
The new springs and Bilstein shocks made a huge difference in the handling
and stability of the car. I am comparing this to the stock springs with 1
year old Boge Turbo Gas shocks so if you have worn out shocks the difference
would be even greater. The new H&R springs and Bilstein shocks got rid of
the nasty nose diving on heavy braking which made the car safer for highway
driving in heavily populated areas where lots of sudden stops are necessary.
If you go to my internet sight you can see pictures of my car and you will
notice plenty of room between the wheel wells and the tires.

modifications to my car.
