Hi Larry, just a comment on your predicament. My '93 S4 is a blast. Been
easy to maintain & relatively cheap to operate - now at 103K. The seats are
particulary great. It is a bit challenging to drive on roads which have
tire grooves, for lack of a beter term. The car has so much rubber down on
the road, that it likes to follow the grooves. Careful attention must be
paid so you don't meet the car next to you or the guard rail a bit closer
than you wish. If your wife or significant other would drive the car, for
example, this might be a factor.
My '91 TQ Wagon, on the other hand is much easier to drive and has very
similar performance to the S4, as it has basically the same engine and only
10 less horespower. It holds everything INSIDE the car and the words roof
rack never even come to mind. It is really a much easier car to operate and
handles great.
Good Luck
