This is only slightly related to this thread, but I've found tire wear on my
car to be a non-issue.  I have stock wheels, tires and suspension, and am on
my third set of tires since I've had the car (37K-135K).  In every case, my
tires wear *absolutely* evenly.  When I replaced my last set of tires after
having them on the car for 50,000 miles, they still had legal tread on them,
and you couldn't tell front from back by looking at them.  (I'm ashamed to
admit -- I never rotated them!).

I'm not complaining, but isn't this, umm, weird?
