I also had a problem with getting the said belts on my car when I did the timing and other belt change.  I had the grill and various other front end radiators off, so access wasn't too bad, but it was tough.  Even with that, I was able to get the belt on there with a screwdriver or the like, and didn't have to remove any other bolts along the way.  I guess you could say I feel your pain on that one.
