Phil, Thanks for the response. On the "useless" Boost reading, are you sure
that it is useless. I have heard many people say this before and since all
that is happening, I think, is that the 2.0 bar sensor (5V out @ 2 bar) is
being replaced with a 2.5 Bar sensor (5V out @ 2.5 Bar) I am pretty sure
that you can simply multiply by 1.25 to get true boost. Is there something
else that I am missing?

I've not heard of that feature so I suspect someone installed the
computer from another model. But I wish it _were_ possible to easily
switch the boost readout to an instantaneous MPG since my chipped
ECU gives a boost reading that is no longer useful.

Yeah- the main benefit to me of the factory phone is the
voice activated feature.

Now, since I'm a complete idiot, how does one "unlock" the
phone? Ever since I had the battery disconnected, my phone is
on "lock" and I haven't the faintest idea how to unlock it or
where the code for the phone may be- I have the radio code, but
AFAIK, no phone code.

Also, has anyone tried to interface a current digital cell
phone into the wiring of the factory phone? I know this has
been done numerous times in the A4 and A6, but with the older
cars?

$40 for the grille trim is better than what I paid. I paid $50 or $55
for one upper grille trim strip.

I seem to recall that "all zeros" is the factory default code, unless
you've changed it.

We're off to sunny (I hope) Spain for a couple of weeks, so will be
temporarily unsubbed.

Hasta la vista,
