[200q20v] stalling problem most probable cause - TBV

So most probably the TBV is the culprit,... but for a 1989 200 10V which doesn't have a TBV at least that is what i see on my car, does not having a TBV the culprit?.
just went to Garden of the Gods, Colorad springs,... was thinking of going to Pikes peak but with this problem.... nahhh.
