When I drove my car ten days ago to the shop, I drove *really* gingerly
because of the noises coming from the transmission. Forty miles, no more
than 65, minimum braking and acceleration -- 30.2 mpg!  Best I've ever
got, but then I don't drive like that much :-)

PS: The minimum I've ever seen is around 10 mpg -- after a couple of
track sessions at Thunderhill.
