With my '91 200q sedan on level road (actually, back-and-forth on
same highway) with no strong winds and a verrrry steady foot at 75
mph, I have no problem averaging 26-27 mpg, sometimes, 28-ish
(verified by gas pump/odo data). I've seen 30 mpg on the trip
computer over intervals of many-miles, but never have maintained
above 29 mpg for trips longer than 100 miles. In city with 75%
stop-and-go (very little expressway) my leadfoot produces about
16.5-17.5 mpg.

As you know, the trip computer can be waaaay off, but is adjustable
by +/- 15% (using dip switches on top of the instrument cluster).
I've adjusted mine to within 5% of actual.
