There is a check valve in the accumulator (I refuse to call it a bomb) which
prevents fluid flow back to the pump,  The only filter in either PS or PB
systems is the screen in the reservoir.  Further, if the resorvoir is not
overfilled, is is designed to handle the accumulator capacity under
conditions of full discharge.

Trackers having PS problems might consider changing the pulley ratio to run
the pump 10% faster.
