More seriously, when it gets down a quart, usually at
least 5000 miles. Filter always.

On Audi recommended intervals, remember, Audi is
paying for the parts and service for the first 50,000
miles and only the first 50,000 miles. They want to
keep their costs down and certainly the engine will
survive the 50,000 miles with the factory change
intervals. I know. Cynical. Ah-yup.
