OK, I think I know the answer to this already, but I thought I would run it by
your guys first.

Over the last week or so, I have been getting a pretty loud "clunk" from the
right rear of my 200 when I hit a good sized bump/pothole/speedbump. I know
that's not right, and since I'm getting ready to take the car on a nice 4000
mile or so trip, I thought I would look into it.

So I pulled off the wheel and poked around, this is what I saw:

Looks to me like the shock is kaput. No? Oil everywhere. Everything else
looks ok and tight.

Now the previous owner had installed Bilstiens (B46-2065) back in '97 before I
got the car. I know Bilstiens come with a lifetime guarantee, right? So do I
need to contact the original vendor (have receipt) or Bilstien directly?

Thanks. Need to take car of this post haste!
