[200q20v] Slow starting

Looking for BTDT advice. My 200 20V just past 100,000 miles and today,
started taking longer cranking time before starting. Maybe 4 or 5 seconds.
Runs fine once it gets going. Bentley shows fuel pump has a check valve. So,
I guess I'm thinkin' check valve, fuel pump or fuel pressure regulator. Any
help out there??? Can I get that check valve out without removing the fuel
pump? Can I get the fuel pump out without the special tools listed in
Bentley?  TIA for any advice.
